Do I have to be a member of the Club to train my dog?

Yes, you must be a member to train with our Club.

Do I need to book or can I just turn up? 

You need to register online every week. Enrolments are on the second Thursday and Sunday of each month for obedience and the first Saturday of the month for agility and every Saturday for flyball.

What details do I need to supply? 

You will need to upload your dog’s current vaccination certificate and complete the membership form online.

How much does it cost? 

The cost of joining the Club is $120.00 with one dog or $140.00 with more than one dog if you join between June and November. If you join between February and May the cost is half the annual fee. We also offer half price pensioner discounts.

The fee covers ALL classes you attend during that financial year including obedience, agility and flyball. We do not hold classes in December and January.

Can my children train our dog? 

Children under twelve are not permitted to train a dog in class. Children twelve years of age and up are permitted based on their ability to handle their dog, which will be assessed by the instructor.

At what age can my puppy start? 

Your puppy can start two weeks after its final vaccination (usually about fourteen weeks).

Are there classes for older dogs?

We cater for dogs of all ages and all breeds providing obedience classes from puppy up to trialling levels.

Dogs must be twelve months old and Class 3 obedience level (i.e. must be able to work off lead with a good recall) to train agility and flyball.  

What do I need to bring to class?

  • A flat or training collar with identification disc. (check chains are not permitted).
  • A fabric lead 750 – 1.2m in long (extender leads are not permitted).
  • A treat pouch with a selection of moist treats such as cheese, cooked sausage or chicken cut into tiny pieces.
  • Poo bags

Dog training collars, leads and treat pouches are available for sale at the ground.

What do I wear to class?

  • Sensible closed in shoes (thongs and high heels are not permitted).
  • Fitted clothes that will not flap or hang down in the dogs face.

What happens if it’s raining?

If classes are cancelled due to wet weather a notice will be posted on our home page and Facebook by 8.00am that morning.

What happens if I miss a class?

Don’t worry just resume training the next week or as soon as you can.
